The Sony PS-LX500 is a linear tracking direct-drive turntable that was released in 1984. It has a linear tracking arm that moves to mimic the head that cuts the record master. This arm has a small tracking error, low harmonic distortion, and almost no pressure on the groove's inner wall, which improves tracking ability and channel separation. The PS-LX500 also has arm transport buttons that allow the tonearm to be moved over the record's desired point with the dust cover closed.Here are some other features of the Sony PS-LX500:
